Blisters for Babies goal is to raise funds for essential supplies to help clinicians deliver the very best care in an environment where resources are stretched thin.
About Our Cause
Blisters for Babies is a fundraising initiative dedicated to supporting the Neonatal and Paediatric units at Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town. This busy public hospital cares for thousands of critically ill infants and children of which many are born prematurely, infected, or suffering from serious congenital conditions.
Our Goal
Why It Matters
At its heart, Blisters for Babies exists because tiny lives matter. Premature and sick newborns are uniquely vulnerable: they often require specialized incubators, monitoring equipment, nutritional support, and infection‐control measures that go beyond basic hospital provisions. By mobilizing donors to fund life saving equipment such as warming beds, pulse oximeters, and neonatal ventilators the initiative directly improves survival rates, reduces complications, and eases the immense stress felt by families facing uncertainty at the very start of their children's lives.
The Impact of Your Support
Supporting Blisters for Babies is more than a charitable gesture; it is an investment in our collective future. Healthy children grow into healthy communities, and every donation translates into better outcomes, fewer complications, shorter hospital stays, and stronger early development. In a healthcare landscape where governmental budgets can only stretch so far, private contributions fill critical gaps and spark innovation in patient support.
